Welcome to Maanya. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, online store, products, and related services.

By visiting our website, purchasing a product, creating an account, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before using our website or placing an order.

Throughout these Terms, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Maanya, and “you” or “customer” refers to any person accessing our website or purchasing our products.

1. Account Terms

You may be able to browse and purchase products either as a guest or through a customer account, depending on the features available on our website.

When creating an account or placing an order, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activities performed through your account.

You must notify us at shopmaanya@gmail.com if you believe your account has been accessed or used without authorization.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that are used fraudulently, unlawfully, or in violation of these Terms.

2. Products and Product Descriptions

We make reasonable efforts to display and describe our products as accurately as possible, including their colors, dimensions, materials, designs, and other characteristics.

However, many Maanya products are handcrafted. Small variations in color, shape, texture, finish, wax appearance, fragrance, placement of decorative elements, or other details may naturally occur. Such minor variations are part of the handmade nature of the product and do not necessarily constitute a defect.

Colors may also appear differently depending on your device, screen settings, lighting, and photography.

Product images are intended to provide a reasonable representation of the product. Decorative props or accessories appearing in photographs are not included unless specifically mentioned in the product description.

3. Pricing and Payment

All prices displayed on our website are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise stated.

Prices may include or exclude applicable taxes depending on how they are displayed at checkout and the applicable legal requirements.

Shipping or delivery charges, where applicable, will be communicated before completion of your purchase.

We reserve the right to change product prices, offers, discounts, or promotions at any time. Changes will not ordinarily affect orders that have already been accepted by us.

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.

Payments may be processed by third-party payment gateways. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused solely by banks, payment networks, UPI providers, or payment gateway service providers outside our reasonable control.

An order is not considered successfully paid merely because a payment attempt has been initiated.

4. Order Acceptance

Submitting an order through our website does not automatically guarantee acceptance of the order.

After you place an order, you may receive an automated confirmation acknowledging that we have received your order.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including situations involving:

  • Incorrect pricing or product information;

  • Product unavailability;

  • Suspected fraudulent transactions;

  • Payment authorization failures;

  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery information;

  • Orders placed in violation of these Terms; or

If we cancel an order after successfully receiving payment, we will initiate an applicable refund to the original payment method in accordance with our refund procedures.

5. Customized and Handcrafted Orders

Maanya may offer customized, personalized, made-to-order, or handcrafted products.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate customization details when placing an order.

Once production of a customized or personalized product has begun, cancellation, modification, return, or exchange may not be possible except where required by applicable law or where the product received is defective, damaged, incorrect, or materially different from what was ordered.

Production times for customized products may differ from those for ready-to-ship products. Where applicable, estimated production times will be communicated through the product page, checkout process, or directly to the customer.

6. Shipping and Delivery

We aim to process and dispatch eligible orders within approximately 4–5 business days, unless a different processing period is stated on the relevant product page.

Customized, personalized, made-to-order, or high-volume orders may require additional processing time.

Delivery time after dispatch depends on your location, courier availability, shipping method, and other circumstances outside our direct control.

Any delivery dates or timeframes provided are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address, postal code, telephone number, and other information required for successful delivery.

Maanya will not be responsible for delays or failed deliveries resulting from incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer, subject to applicable law.

7. Returns, Exchanges and Refunds

Returns, exchanges, cancellations, and refunds are governed by our Return & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

If you receive a product that is damaged, defective, incorrect, or materially different from what you ordered, please contact us at shopmaanya@gmail.com within the period specified in our Return & Refund Policy.

You may be required to provide your order number, photographs, an unboxing video where reasonably applicable, or other information necessary for us to investigate the issue.

Handcrafted products may contain minor natural variations that are not defects.

Customized or personalized products may not be eligible for return or exchange merely because of a change of mind, subject to applicable consumer-protection law.

Approved refunds will be processed according to our Return & Refund Policy and applicable payment-provider processing timelines.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to restrict any mandatory consumer rights available to you under applicable Indian law.

8. Candle Safety and Product Use

Candles involve an open flame and must always be used responsibly.

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep burning candles away from children, pets, curtains, paper, fabrics, flammable materials, drafts, and heat-sensitive surfaces.

Always place candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface and follow any safety or usage instructions supplied with the product.

Candle-making supplies sold by Maanya should be used according to their intended purpose and with appropriate care.

Customers are responsible for safely using, storing, and handling products after delivery.

9. Prohibited Uses

You may not use our website, products, or services:

  • For any unlawful or fraudulent purpose;

  • To violate applicable laws or regulations;

  • To infringe intellectual property or other legal rights;

  • To transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful software;

  • To interfere with the security or operation of our website;

Our online store may use services provided by third parties, including Shopify, payment processors, courier companies, analytics providers, and other technology partners.
